Administration Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Photos Released
Democratic lawmakers have released a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" pictures from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 issued later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is probing the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Among the notable figures visible in the opening set are well-known figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
White House Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative stated, asserting that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by frequently urging openness, disclosing numerous documents of papers, and demanding additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Comment
The images were disclosed without context, but per a California Democrat and senior member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"It is time to halt this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he said in a statement.
The disclosure of these images coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its inquiry into the Epstein case.
