Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
