Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great success on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
