Previous British Broadcasting Corporation Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Grilling After Allegations of Bias in Leaked Memo
We begin with queries from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, that chairs the committee.
She opens by providing background to the unauthorized memo authored by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting this way or that way, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and fair," he declares.
Upon being questioned whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, Prescott replies: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is top-tier - both documentary and entertainment content."
However, he continues: "There exists substantial tasks that needs to be done at the BBC."
A further ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC extremely earnestly and that it operates a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted subjects.
"Did the BBC willing to have a thorough dialogue and exchange and take action?" she asks herself. "In my view, indeed, they were."
