The Mighty Nein, the newest animated adventure by the beloved role-playing group, revealed a new introductory sequence. It showcases the beloved cast of misfits, outcasts, and criminals fighting hard and taking names, while teasing at several heart-wrenching backstories for characters including Liam O'Brien's wizard Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

All in all, the intro appears stunning. However, I felt that an element was missing in the song choice.

This sequence uses "Welcome to Wildemount", an exceptional composition composed by artist Colm McGuinness. It's a track from the soundtrack album of that title, the second one put out by Critical Role Productions LLC's music division Scanlan Shorthalt Music. It's a great nostalgic option, and I believe that fans of the second campaign will love its presence.

Personally, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and energy that accompanied the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", written by musician the artist, became an immediate hit in my view when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it improved further when cast member Sam Riegel wrote words to the tune for the animated Campaign 2 opening in 2018.

Including singing from one actress, another performer, Travis Willingham, as well as Riegel himself, the song was catchy and enjoyable. Back then, I hadn't seen the follow-up series at that point, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my phone. It's a song that excites you before you start an installment of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's opening with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the right notes for me. It's a grand composition, but based on my understanding of this party, I feel that its tone is a little off.

Of course, the creators has already said that the animated show will have a few changes and variations from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its intro appears as among these.
