The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. The role possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a version of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and anime.

This performer joins a number of recently announced actors who will portray the organization to life, including chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Even though the role is a major member of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the narrative framework.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its season two on March 10, 2026.
